Before the SVRA weekend, I saw on the entry list a Steve Walker from Pennsboro, WV. Knowing that road racing isn't exactly popular in the greater Marietta/Parkersburg "metro area," I wondered if Dad knew of him. Turns out that Steve autocrossed this same car in the late '70's when Dad was autocrossing his Corvair-powered Autodynamics Deserter. They knew of each other at the time, so it's been nice to actually get to know Steve and his wife Jan 25 years later.
